Nature's Path - Love Crunch Cereal - Okay, first off, I wouldn't eat this for breakfast as I typically do not eat sugary foods for breakfast. However, this is a great snack that provides protein, fibre, Omega's, and Iron (sweetened with Cane Syrup) so an nice healthy handful wouldn't hurt. With granola clusters loaded with flax seeds, dehydrated strawberries and raspberries, and yes, chunks of chocolate, this limited time only product donates funds with every purchase to the Food Banks of Canada. Yummmmm!
GoGo Quinoa (Organic and Gluten Free Pastas)Quinoa is the rage these days for a great protein alternative to meat. Quinoa is an ancient seed/grain that is a complete protein and it is so versatile. For pasta, I generally use brown rice or kamut pasta products, but this is a double threat - it is pasta and protein all in one. Not only that, it cooks within 5-7 minutes so it is quick. Perfect!
Blue Monkey Coconut Water - If you have read through my previous blogs, you would come across my posting related to All Things Coconut as there are countless benefits to using coconut milk, oil, and water to your diet. It is full of electrolytes, potassium, magnesium, and is super hydrating. But, coconut water can be an acquired taste for some (I generally put it in my green smoothies so it is not as noticeable). I am apprehensive to try flavoured products as I am concerned about drinking sugar-ladened and artificially coloured beverages. But, the Blue Monkey brand uses only 20% fruit juice in its bottles and is lightly sweetened with agave syrup so it is a balanced sweetness. Make this your new summer beverage!
